A Little About Me
Yoga is a uniquely personal practice. It is a constant inquiry into how to deepen my awareness and take care of myself so I can better take care of the world around me. To me yoga is not about a fancy pose, it is about falling in love with my body every day.
I have been a student of yoga since the late 90’s when my personal practice began. After years of practice I wanted to share the magic I experienced through yoga. I completed my 200-hour teacher training in the summer of 2008 at Yoga to the People in NYC, and relocated to the Bay Area to teach yoga as my full time career.
I’ve pursued advanced education at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and completed my 500h degree in the summer of 2014. I have additional training in anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff, Harvey Deutch, Ellen Heed and Ada Lusardi, and I’ve completed trainings in Prenatal yoga with Jane Austin, Restorative yoga with Vickie Russell Bell, Well Woman Yoga Therapy with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and I am a certified Body Ready Method Professional. I am currently studying Injury Prevention and Management with Jason Crandell and working toward becoming a Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist with Sarah Duvall. My teaching is also informed by my extensive movement training and experience as a professional dancer and actor.
I am a mother to a lively little boy, who thoroughly changed my life, and I am deeply passionate about creating and offering practices to any birthing person for the transformational journey of pregnancy and early parenthood. I’ve dedicated the years after my sons birth to creating more mindful content especially for early postpartum recovery.
My goal as a teacher is to make yoga accessible and guide you as a student to a deeper relationship with yourself and your body through the practice of yoga.
One-on-one training is an incredible way to deepen your practice. I will give you my undivided attention, offer hands-on adjustments and custom design a practice that fits your needs. The styles I offer are Restorative Yoga, Gentle Flow, Vigorous Flow as well as Prenatal and Postnatal practices and core and pelvic floor recovery. Fees are based on time, not number of people, so you are welcome to book lessons as a couple or a small group as well.

Some of my most rewarding time involves guiding budding teachers on the exciting and transformative journey from student to teacher. Teacher training profoundly changed the course of my life for the better and led to a fulfilling career that continues to surprise and challenge me in all the best ways.
My previous work with teacher trainings involves instruction in asana and alignment, hands on assisting, anatomy of breathing and foundational pranayama, as well as business of yoga. Currently I am focusing my teaching into guiding trainees to serve their pre and postnatal students in the classroom.
I have experience working with both 200h and 300h level Teacher Trainings and I am a Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider (YACEP). If you are looking for a staff member for your Teacher Training, I’d love to hear from you.
