Intro - Postnatal.png

Pregnancy and birth changes your body. I think the idea of “back to your pre-pregnancy body” is a disempowering message. You made a small human (or a few of them) and birthed them into the world, your body went though an incredible transformation. Rather than yearning for something that was before, let’s focus on getting to know this new body. Postpartum recovery is a journey and everyone’s experience is unique and nuanced. It is important to be patient with your body, and it’s good to begin with classes that are specifically designed for the postpartum period. I am so glad you are here, and I am honored should you choose me to be a part of your postpartum recovery team.

I have followed Annemaria to several studios to attend her classes. Her knowledge of post baby bodies and poses/adjustments to accommodate abdominal separation and other postnatal issues make her one of the best instructors in the area for this type of yoga.

Annemaria came at the recommendation of a friend who is a physical therapist and mom. Practices with Annemaria are both incredibly soothing and impactful. She gently guides you through effective, intentional poses, offering tips and reminders as you move through each one, allowing you to luxuriate in those yummy moments. “No hurry, no rush,” she says. I can honestly say I feel a huge positive difference in my body after every session with her. Thank you, Annemaria!

Live Classes

POSTNATAL CLASSES

These practices include conscious core and pelvic floor work, shoulder and chest opening, and gentle flow. The class is always tailored for the participants of the day. Pre-crawling babies are welcome for the in-person classes, but the class is parent focused. This class is appropriate after getting the ok from your care provider to begin exercise again.

Workshops

This practice is designed specifically for postpartum bodies with babies or children of any age. We will address the common spots of tightness in the shoulders, chest, and upper back and get to core and pelvic floor strengthening. We will take time to connect, flow and move and breathe, and at the end leave ample time for restorative postures. For this special class, leave babies and kiddos at home and enjoy two uninterrupted hours to yourself.

Come immerse in self care, nourish your body, mind and soul...and leave ready to parent again.

On-Demand Practice Library

Engage with the Practice Library in two different ways, rent a class for 24h (cost $5-$7) or become a Monthly Subscriber for $25/month and access all of the content and new practices as soon as they are uploaded, plus exclusive content just for subscribers. You can select this Subscription during the checkout process.

In the Postnatal Library the Gentle Flow 45min practice is a good overall practice to explore. The rest of the practices are more targeted and I've kept everything at a manageable time stamp, for the exception of the Restorative Practice, you should give yourself the full hour and settle in for radical time of self-care! There are three practices that can be done in the early weeks of postpartum, for the rest, get the ok from your care provider to begin exercise again before exploring.
